An entrepreneur and engineer specialising in biomedical engineering and health innovation, Fade Elisee develops medical solutions adapted to African realities. Among them is a neonatal heating table, made in Benin, designed to improve the care of newborns.
Medical equipment designed elsewhere often assumes an operating environment that does not hold across much of the continent: uninterrupted power, available spare parts, trained maintenance nearby. Designing for the conditions that exist rather than the conditions assumed is an act of engineering, and protecting that design is what allows it to be manufactured at scale rather than copied once.
